Feedback Strategies
The first article I chose to read begins by talking about how the common method for of praise causes loss in self-confidence. They mention something that I found interesting, which is that the parental praise is uplifting for the parent's sake, not the children. I agree with the idea that attentiveness is more vital than praise, especially when it comes to children. What I understood is that it is better to let them know you paid attention to their details and the thoughts they put into it than to tell them they wrote a great story overall. This article helped me build an idea on how I will give feedback through out this semester.

The second article I chose to read talks about feedback needs to be able to progress the recipients growth mindset, that way the recipient benefit the most. I sometimes struggle with being specific because I feel like I'm just repeating what they have written. I agree that it is important to give feedback on what is there as opposed to what there could have been. Making sure that the feedback can also apply to a different context is important. And these are all new consideration I will take in the future to provide the most helpful feedback that I can.
